Miguel Forte's history starts on the 7th January in 1921 when Miguel Forte founds a small joinery in São Paulo. Due to the success, by 1930 the company becomes a furniture industry with its headquarters in the capital of São Paulo and its purchase department in União da Vitória (PR) because of its proximity to the south imbuia reserve of the country. In 1950 the Miguel Forte Wood Factory S/A was established - the company became an Anonymous Society. This company dealt with sawn wood, laminate and plywood.

Among the various kinds produced, we have to mention the duplex paperboard and the special papers for corrugated boxes - the main products of the paper production.

Social Responsability:
Taking part in the social, cultural and economical development of União da Vitória and the nearby region has always been one of the principles of Miguel Forte. The support to social projects which promote citizenship and well-being mainly among the poor people, shows the commitment of Miguel Forte to the ideals of a fair and humane society.
